About

The long version.

Raul Lee Bhaskaran. Advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Founder of Axon Avenue PLT. Completing an MSc in Applied Neuroscience at King's College London. Five practices in motion.

The work that connects them is the same in every case: helping a person see the question underneath the question they came in with. The hire is rarely about the hire. The lawsuit is rarely about the lawsuit. The deal is rarely about the deal. The thing being decided is usually one layer down. The conversations on this site sit at that layer.

i.  The five practices

  1. Law.

Advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya (RLB Advocates & Solicitors). Trained in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. Active in dispute resolution, intellectual property, and product-shaped legal work where the question is partly technological and partly legal at once. Most of the work here is helping a dispute end before it needs to be filed.

  2. Software.

Founder of Axon Avenue PLT. Three live products: Saraf (autism education platform), MatSelamat (court document generator for Malaysian small claims), Proxi (operator interface). Code is part of the work.

  3. Personality and pattern data.

HEXACO and archetype work, the formal end of it the neuroscience MSc above (King's, IoPPN). Pattern recognition that does not turn off once you have it; it sits underneath much of what gets discussed here. It does not stop at people; the dog and both cats answer to the same reading, and behaviour is behaviour once you take the story out of it, whichever species is in the room. It is also the reason I cannot read the people in my own life calmly.

  4. Writing.

Two books in motion: UNDISTORTED and Say It For Me. Writing is how I work out what I think before saying it. The Long-form Brief offering is the same process, shorter, for somebody else's question.

  5. Music.

Music producer and label owner. Sync Primitive is the label; production credits under two artist names. Tempo, taste, and what to cut transfer to the other work more than people expect.

Each is a full practice. The cross-view is what they add up to.

ii.  House rules

What we talk about stays between us. I do not take notes during a conversation unless you ask. If a matter needs to be in writing or on record, it routes through the Long-form Brief (or, for formal legal work, through RLB Advocates & Solicitors with a proper engagement letter and conflict check).

WhatsApp these days runs through a bot first; the booking flow on this site is the direct route.

iv.  Engagement

Conversations and written briefs booked on this site are cross-discipline working engagements; they are general advisory and do not create a solicitor-client relationship. Anything that requires a formal legal opinion (litigation pleadings, regulatory submissions, signed instruments for filing with a court, regulator, insurer, or board) routes through RLB Advocates & Solicitors with a proper engagement letter and conflict check.
